SEQUENTIALLY COMPACT S-ACTS

‎‎The investigation of equational compactness was initiated by‎ ‎Banaschewski and Nelson‎. ‎They proved that pure injectivity is‎ ‎equivalent to equational compactness‎. ‎Here we define the so‎ ‎called sequentially compact acts over semigroups and study‎ ‎some of their categorical and homological properties‎. ‎Some‎ ‎Baer conditions for injectivity of S-acts are also presented‎.

GEOMETRY OF 1-TORI IN GLn

We describe the orbits of the general linear group GL(n, T ) over a skew field T acting by simultaneous conjugation on pairs of 1-tori, i.e., subgroups conjugate to diag(T ∗, 1, . . . , 1), and identify the corresponding spans. 1/4-BPS states on noncommutative tori

We give an explicit expression for classical 1/4-BPS fields in supersymmetric YangMills theory on noncommutative tori. We use it to study quantum 1/4-BPS states. In particular we calculate the degeneracy of 1/4-BPS energy levels.
